In a significant leadership shift within India’s real estate sector, My Home Constructions has appointed Abhishek Kapoor as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately.

Kapoor, who recently stepped down as Group CEO and Executive Director of Puravankara Limited, brings with him over two decades of leadership experience and a proven track record of driving growth, operational excellence, and market expansion.

“His sharp strategic acumen, customer-first mindset, and track record of building high-performing teams will accelerate our next phase of growth and reinforce My Home’s commitment to quality, timely delivery, and value creation across India,” said Ramu Rao J, Executive Vice Chairman, My Home Constructions.

At My Home Constructions, Kapoor will oversee the company’s growth strategy across business development, land acquisition, sales and marketing, strategic partnerships, and operational delivery. His mandate includes strengthening My Home’s footprint in key metros such as Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai, while continuing to consolidate its leadership position in Hyderabad.

“I am excited to partner with the leadership team to strengthen our brand, deepen customer trust, and scale responsibly with disciplined execution and innovation. Our focus will be to deepen My Home’s presence in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai with differentiated products and superior customer experience,” said Kapoor.

Kapoor joined Puravankara Limited in September 2019 as Chief Operating Officer and rose to the position of Group CEO in July 2023. During his tenure, the company witnessed an operational turnaround, highlighted by a significant reduction in ready-to-move inventory and an 89% surge in pre-sales. Sales volumes touched nearly 5 million sq. ft., valued at around ₹4,000 crore in just nine months, underscoring his ability to drive scale and efficiency.

His leadership was particularly impactful in Bengaluru and Chennai, two of India’s most competitive property markets, where Puravankara consolidated its presence apart from venturing in Mumbai market. Kapoor resigned from his role at Puravankara in May 2025, citing personal reasons.

For My Home Constructions, Kapoor’s appointment comes at a time of aggressive diversification. The Hyderabad-based developer, part of the larger My Home Group, has a legacy spanning over four decades and a strong presence across real estate, cement, power, education, and media. Its construction arm has already delivered 37 million sq. ft. of landmark residential and commercial projects and has over 50 million sq. ft. under development. Beyond housing, My Home has been ramping up investments in warehousing, industrial parks, and commercial projects, with plans to deploy over $2 billion in the coming years.
