The countdown to Christmas feels like it's well and truly underway, even though we're still a month away from Halloween. All over social media, people are prepping for the big day, getting organised and buying presents, posting the decorations they want to buy that they've seen in shops, and even using Christmas music as their sound over the top of videos.
So when people saw that The Range had put out a festive plea to shoppers, people weren't shocked to see the Yuletide content. But they were stunned by what they were confronted with on their Facebook feeds, leaving people in stitches.
The Range wrote in a post: "Listen, what you do with your props at home is your business… But in our stores?" followed by a smirking emoji.
- Man buys £8 bin on Temu but is floored when he sees what arrives
- Find hidden piglet in 'impossible' brainteaser and you're in the sharpest 2%
They continued: "The elves have formed a union and are officially concerned.
"Love the laughs and your festive creativity… but for those shoppers getting a bit too jolly, The Range naughty list is about to launch!"
Following their words, they posted a series of photographs showing their Halloween and Christmas decorations in compromising positions.
A blow-up Santa could be seen leaning over to pick up a present, while a gingerbread man was perhaps a little too close for comfort to him, looking extremely happy with himself.
Also, some reindeer had been placed in a very rude position, with one lying flat on the shelf, and another mounting it.
Some people joked that it was "bored boyfriends and husbands" who had been working on these cheeky displays while their unsuspecting partners were trying to shop for things to make their homes look pretty.
Another said that people had seen this post and were now thinking "challenge accepted," wanting to go into stores to do this sort of thing to their displays themselves to give people a laugh.
"Good to see some people with a sense of humour," somebody wrote.
Others shared the things they used to get up to when they were younger, joking that they would've definitely been put on the elusive "naughty list".
"When we were kids, we used to hide the kitchen timers around stores and set them all to go off at different times," one woman admitted.
Another replied: "That’s not as good as setting a screensaver password and login password on the laptops in Curry's".
Somebody shared something even more mortifying than what people had been up to in The Range, sharing: "About 15 years ago, my partner managed to hack the Currys TV passwords (or something like that, I'm not techy!) and put a pic of my boobs (with a bra on and not my face showing, I hasten to add!) on all the TV screens. It was kinda funny watching people do a double-take when they saw it".
One mum shared that she'd accidentally set a whole load of toys off once in a store, writing: "Well without realising it I set off a whole batch of baby electronic toys!
"I'm one of those adults, if there's a try me button, I'm pressing it. I didn't know they're called linked up or something like that.
"There must have been twenty of them playing music! Luckily, a member of staff started laughing when I shouted to my daughter 'Oh heck, I've set the whole lot off."
