Prince Harry has been pictured at Los Angeles International Airport as he heads to the UK for a four-day visit. He was pictured this morning, ahead of his attendance at the annual Wellchild Award ceremony this evening.
Wearing a dark polo shirt, black jeans, and dark sunglasses, the Duke of Sussex arrived at the airport accompanied by a couple of his security detail. Harry held a leather holdall in his right hand and his phone in his left as he made his way towards the plane.
His wife, Meghan Markle, is staying in the US to look after their children. Harry hopes to see his father on his four-day visit to the UK, but it is understood he still does not know whether this will happen.
Father and son have not seen each other face-to-face for over 19 months, when Harry rushed back to the UK to see the King after his cancer diagnosis was made public.
The King, who is staying in Balmoral, has no engagements planned for this week.
Harry is keen for reconciliation, following the public attacks he has made on the Royal Family since stepping down as a senior working royal, but royal circles are more sceptical.
One of the Duke's friends told The Sunday Times: "He's not given up hope on bringing his family back to the UK."
It is not yet known whether Harry will attend the Duchess of Kent's funeral next week.
