Xiaomi India has launched the Redmi 15 5G . The company says that the latest smartphones “blends flagship-inspired design with advanced performance”. Xiaomi also announced that it has completed 15 years of global and 11 years of operations in India. The Redmi 15 features a 7000mAh, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC and 50MP AI camera system.

The Redmi 15 5G will be available in three variants: 6GB + 128GB at Rs 14,999; 8GB + 128GB at Rs 15,999; and 8GB + 256GB at Rs 16,999. The phone will be available in three colour options: Frosted White, Midnight Black and Sandy Purple, starting from August 28 on Mi.com, Amazon.in, Mi Home and across leading retail partners.

The company says that the Redmi 15 5G introduces the segment’s first aerospace-grade metal camera deco for strength. The Redmi 15 5G sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ Adaptive Sync display with up to 144Hz refresh rate. It gets TÜV Rheinland triple certification for eye comfort, and is paired with Dolby-certified speakers delivering 200 percent super volume.
Under the hood, the Redmi 15 gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC which is paired with up to 16GB RAM (including virtual RAM) and UFS 2.2 storage.
The phone gets a 50MP AI dual camera system with a f/1.75 aperture. It gets features such as AI Erase, AI Sky, AI Beauty, and classic film filters to allow users to edit and enhance their shots. There is an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The Redmi 15 5G runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 with Android 15.
The Redmi 15 5G is claimed to be the first in its segment to feature a 7000mAh EV-grade battery with Si-C Technology. Xiaomi claims that the phone can deliver up to 48 hours of power on a single charge and retains up to 80% of its battery capacity even after 1600 charging cycles. The phone comes with 33W fast charging and 18W reverse fast charging.
